This 2,900 sf solar canopy generates 48.6 kW of renewable energy for Thermo King in Modesto, California. The canopy is built using a single slope framing system and PowerShingle solar panels that serve as the structure’s roof.

Originally considering a conventional metal roof canopy, Thermo King opted for PowerShingle due to its financial benefits and ability to combine water-tight shelter with renewable energy production. The solar panels lock together to eliminate leakage, protecting all assets stored beneath the canopy.
